Wireless All In One Printers - Installation
Tips
-
Remove the printer from the box and set
aside all the extra goodies. Printers usually come with design software and free photo
paper. Right now you will need the quick start manual and driver software
disk.
-
Place your printer in a central location that is
easily accessible for family members. You probably do not want you kids streaming in
and out of your bedroom to pick up papers they have printed.
-
Plug in the printer.
-
Make sure your PC is connected to a wireless
router.
-
Install the printer drivers. These drivers can
be found on the disk that came with the computer. You will want to install the drivers on
each computer.
-
On each PC go to “add new printer” and choose “share
this printer”.
-
Restart if necessary.
-
Install the new ink cartridges that came with the
printer and insert paper into the feeder tray.
-
Print a test page.
-
Make sure you have set the all in one wireless printer
as your default printer on each PC.
Follow these easy steps and you will be connected. Your
family will now have a wireless network from which to print and the freedom to print from anywhere in the
house. To learn about functions specific to wireless all-in-one printers you can look through the
user’s manual. This is the thick guide book that gives you the details about the printer. But don’t let it
scare you. It will be written in easy to use language; similar to the quick start guide you used to set up
the all in one wireless printer.
